Bible Q&A

I have a question concerning multiple marriages in the old testament. Is there a specific bible passage that states God's views or condemnation of this type of marriage including consequences for this act?  Thank you for your answer.

Thanks for the question,

Jesus quotes the Old Testament in Mark 10:2-12 This is the closest he comes to speaking of polygamy.

"In the beginning God made them male and female, and they two will become one flesh."

This is the way God intended it to be. Any other arrangement is not from God.
In this we have to respect the silence of the scriptures. If we do something else - that is not what God intended.
The only other passage I can think of is Leviticus 18:18 that says the Israelite was not to marry his wife's sister, for obvious reasons.

Hope this helps.
